While I recommend Taiwan over China, I thought I'd talk about what things might actually be better for foreigners in China. Please don't yell at me.

As a Taiwanese, I agree with most things. We do need to improve the local food in some aspects. Thanks for being honest

喜歡中國的食物更勝臺灣,這很 OK 的,不用擔心訂閱數會下降啦,有喜好很正常的,每個人都會有。

Prozzie, you are so good natured and at ease with the camera now. The first video I saw you in with C-Milk you were hammered and insane. Now, you're travel channel material. Great content, great guests !!! You are killing it !!!

Had a few people saying the audio was a bit messed up. I’m moving homes and I didn’t have my speakers for this edit so I didn’t hear it. My apologies!

I lived in Taiwan in the 80's and I love the food more than anything else. I never missed western food. I don't need fast food or anything like it. In fact they didn't have it.

I must say that I was very surprised for not reading any posts from the "toxic sour keyboarders" (I am referring to what LoganDBeck 小貝 encountered from his last post). I am glad to see that your readers are more open minded.

It'd be valuable to have others share their experiences, you know there in Taiwan who have lived or worked in the other regions of the "East Asian cultural sphere": Japan, Korea, Vietnam, possibly, HK and Macao, too.

中國的食物是無論在哪裡吃都可以吃到不同地區的當地食物 台灣比較多的是小吃 雖然我沒去過中國 但是能夠理解 為什麼外國人可能更愛住在中國

I came to China for work experience and to pay off specific student debt, and as of this month, that debt has been paid off so I am planning on leaving China. However, because all my extra money has been going towards paying off debt I have done barely any travelling. China is going to be a place I return to at multiple points in my life for travel because I want to see all that this vast country has to offer. I'll just pick a province and spend a week seeing the highlights and eating the local cuisine.

The country may, from a Western perspective, be going down a darker less-friendly path but the future isn't written yet. By travelling back here intermittently, I look forward to seeing that future unfold.

I am pretty agreed with your opinions that it is more challenging for working in China than in Taiwan. You have to compete with 1, 4 billion people frankly. They usually tend to think big! There are also extremely diversified cultures and landscapes all through China. All in all, China is an amazing place to hang out for a while but definitely not a place to settle down for me, considering its political system. Every country has its charms and you just need to see it. It´s been great that you guys like Taiwan a lot. Thumbs-up!

Before I went to Taiwan for the first time, Taiwanese people were "apologizing" for the size of their land. I replied that Taiwan is larger than some of the states in the US. Taiwan has a tremendous variety crammed into its small "footprint" and the mountains in Taiwan are higher than any in Japan and even the entire eastern half of China.

I would love to check out China, specifically to get some of that spicy Sichuan food!

I always think Taiwan has the best Chinese food there is. In fact the best Chinese food in the world, other than Singapore (where I lived as well).

Hey man, fellow Ottawan here. Currently living in Shanghai. My favourite thing about China is waimai (delivery food) and paying for everything with WeChat Pay. Does Taiwan have an equivalent?

I only spent a night in Shanghai in a hotel next to a garbage dump by the airport and did nothing at all. I accidentally handed the hotel clerk pink 100NT notes I had from last trip instead of pink Mao notes and they got a huge kick out of it.

Speaking of Hangzhou towards the end there, I completely agree during national holiday that place is absolute hell. It gets way, way too overcrowded. I visited during national holiday and just wanted to leave because of the crowds. That said, the place itself is gorgeous and I can imagine it being a paradise any time other than national holiday.
