Can we pray for our unbelieving friends that the Holy Spirit will convict them that the word of God is all true? Or can the Holy Spirit can only do that when they are seeking it?

I'm going to have disagree just a bit on the rational evidence arguement. I trust that the Bible is the word of God because after a detailed study of Old Testament prophecy (a book maintained over centuries by those who are not believers in Jesus as their Messiah), I find overwhelming evidence that Jesus IS the Jewish Messiah. In other words, the greatest testimony for Jesus is from his accusers.
There are still some parts of scripture that puzzle me greatly, but the weight of rrational evidence makes doubt of the source impossible.
