LOW FARES, STUNNING VIEWS! RYANAIR Boeing 737 MAX 8-200 [IHW] London Stansted to Barcelona el Prat
Показать описание
Starting 2025 with a bang and on the right note with our 4th day trip, this time to Barcelona, the furthest we've been on a day trip. FR8214 on Saturday 18th January onboard 1 year EI-IHW. Nice to be on another Boeing 737 MAX 8-200. Stansted Airport was surprisingly busy, although considering it was a Saturday, most winter ski flights fly on a Saturday so likely the majority of the pax will have been heading to the slopes. The whole boarding process was very swift and efficent, it must have only been about 10 minutes from boarding to pushback. Though I was suprised that the Captain never gave us an announcement or any updates on the flight's progress at all.
We pushed back at bang on 07.40, with a very loud engine start, and a very quick taxi out to Runway 22 with no stopping or waiting, the Captain taxiied straight onto the runway and onto full throttle and took off at 07.51, straight into a thick layer of fog and clouds and emerged to the beautiful view of the sunrise over the clouds. It was truly stunning and I was gasping in awe behind the camera. It reminds me of the scenes we had taking off of Luton to Edingburgh on EasyJet. That's all very well, but unfortunately these clouds did not clear until the latter stages of the cruise, but there are plenty of air to air shots to compensate aswell as some light turbulence here and there.
Before we knew it, we were descending over the beautiful Pyrennes and over the city of Barcelona, before the Captain banked away from the airport in order to join the approach to Runway 24R, which was again truly stunning and a smooth touch down 11 minutes early, and virtually straight onto stand.
Overall, this flight was fine, perfectly on time, perfectly clean and nothing to complain about. Although it was disappointing the Captain never spoke to us and the cabin crew still speak far too quickly on the tannoy.
Shoutout to the family I met on the bus from the aircraft to the terminal whom I discussed all my day trips and they told me about theirs and the trips they've done in the past. It was nice to meet you!
This flight was truly stunning, I think this is the most scenic flight I've done to date, every flight I take just outdoes all of my previous flights, whether that be by scenery, or by the hardness or smoothness of the landing, or by the punctuality or lack there of!
