Don’t get rid of my old phones, I tend to break phones a lot, so I repair them myself, and a lot of the time I have no money so I need my old phones as spares… and so far my 2016 iPhone se has been the most reliable phone I’ve had, so it makes the best spare

Apple isn’t getting my old iPhone. I’ve never traded in a phone. If I buy something, it’s mine now. I’ve always kept them or given them to my sons. I paid off my 13pm & sold it to my son to get my $$ back when I upgraded to the 14pm. I still have my old 3G, 4S, 6S+, and Xs Max.

I was totrade in my iphone 11 and get like $300 trade in cash . I sent it in and was in mint condition. They sent me an email back saying since the screen had been replaced and not by an apple authorized shop they were knocking the price down to $125. they didnt mention to this. They asked if it turned on, and not locked to a carrier. They ripped me off.

For the customer it's bad deal. Buy a phone for $1000 then sell/trade back for $200 3 years later isn't good. They know it's worth $350 and people will still pay it.

I mean if people are going to buy a new phone every year or 2 regardless and not use there old phone then it's better then nothing. But for the most part it's a bad deal. It makes sense to keep your phone or try to sell it yourself.

Buying a used phone is the best part but the phone might not last forever if it's already 3 years old. Might only be worth it if you don't keep your phone long and you replace them over a shorter pirod of time. Or break your phone often and replace it more often.
