Many golfers struggle with creating a smooth, effortless golf swing due to overthinking positions and forcing movements. In this golf lesson, PGA Pro Kerrod Gray and Sam Cyr introduce an easy drill to help golfers achieve a more natural, fluid swing by focusing on momentum and pressure shifts rather than rigid positions.
Starting with the club held in front, this drill encourages relaxed, dynamic movement that builds momentum and improves swing consistency. Leading with the left hand and letting the right hand follow naturally promotes ideal hand positioning and a controlled, loose grip. Practicing without a ball initially, then gradually hitting shots with different clubs, develops adaptability and feel.
This drill helps golfers break the habit of overthinking swing positions and leads to a smoother, more natural swing.
