Plaza Delfino in HD made with Unreal 4.26.
Made for fun with the idea of what I saw when I played the original game 10 years ago !

Wow. This is literally the first ever “Mario stuff but in UE4 with crazy graphics” that doesn’t look absolutely awful. In fact, this actually looks amazing, and is the polar opposite in quality of pretty much every single Mario remake thing comparable to it. Really well done. Extremely reminiscent of the Link’s Awakening remake. For once I could actually see this in a real Nintendo game. Love it. Insane attention to detail as well, and I love the numerous additions. This truly feels like a massive upgrade from the original, which is something pretty much every Mario remake thing cannot say. Amazing work.

It's hard to explain but this looks less like an organic place and more like a set on an amusement park or a diorama. It does nail that look perfectly though.

Aside from just how incredible this is. It's super refreshing to see one of these "Nintendo game in unreal engine" things that actually understands the visual direction of the game it's recreating, and shows reverence to that style. This is absolutely astounding!

This is so beautiful, I can scarcely describe it. There aren't any Delphinos present, yet this has the feel of a real, lived-in town. Every little detail tells a story of a bustling tropical village. This makes me want a sequel even more... especially if you were the art director for the project.

This is absolutely beautiful! It feels so alive! It's like a real place that I want to visit in real life!
And it's filling me with so much inspiration. Imagining this full of Piantas walking around and living their lives is amazing.
I wanna see Delfino Plaza show up in the Mario movie and look like this. Man this is so good

I'm not gonna lie, I came into this video with a "ugh... here we go again..." kinda vibe because I've seen SO many projects like this where they take some old game and "remake" it in Unreal and it just looks terrible, stiff, and devoid of life with dull colours and no character whatsoever.

This is the absolute and genuine opposite of that in that I think this looks fantastic. Even without NPC's it still looks so lively and full of colour.

Nice to finally see someone who undertands that hyperrealistic doesn't always make for a good remake. This is beautiful and stylized in a way I can easily imagine Nintendo themselves doing it.

I can’t fully describe how happy I am that this has an artstyle that actually fits Super Mario Sunshine instead of being a “hyper realistic” 4K monstrosity like that awful Unreal Engine Ocarina of Time thing.
