Honestly, I remember playing this game so many times. I'll never forget the day when I completed it as kids man. The number of memories this created and how nostalgic it is. Nothing will ever compare to games like these now. This game is literally undescribable Just top-tier shit. If you had a Gamecube you had to have SUNSHINE on it. Literally, this was what brought us joy as kids, to distract us from the rough parts of life. Ahhh, the memories. This game needs to be as is, no remake whats so ever. Keep the legacy up.

I remember getting a Nintendo Gamecube for Christmas in 2002, and this WONDERFUL game (along with a memory card) was bundled with the console. At first I thought Super Mario Sunshine was the only Gamecube game I had so far until my mom spotted a present I forgot to open just minutes after I fired up Super Mario Sunshine. The present happened to be Luigi's Mansion, another Gamecube game I had been itching to play since playing it countless times on demo kiosks at Best Buy, GameStop, Circuit City, etc.. I had to get Super Mario 3D All Stars to play this wonderful gem again and feel like I'm 17 again (that's how old I was when Super Mario Sunshine came out. I'm now 35).

My favourite game of all time, im 27 and i would play this as a kid constantly. Woke up on christmas day of 2002 as a little kid and my parents bought me a gamecube, mario sunshine, star fox adventures, luigis mansion and mario kart. Best christmas ever and i will never forget it till i die.

This was my fave as a kid and still is! Its crazy watching you play these and some of these took me forever to beat and you got them one try .. Maybe its cuz i was a kid hahaha. Also i liked to walk around and explore the cities and talk to all the people im weird like that

I’m ancient so back when Nintendo first came out they had a game called Ninja Gaiden. I went over to a friends house to get him and ran into his 6 year old brother absolutely trouncing what had to have been the first speed run I had ever seen. He was doing things with the game I didn’t know was possible.
Also had a girlfriend when Super Mario first released, she would do speed runs and kill it. I like seeing that people have cherished Mario and friends throughout their lives. Super Cool!😊

I loved all the islands and the animation for this game, it was so beautiful. And if you listen closely a lot of the music on the different islands are just various renditions of the original Mario theme music

My first game console and (I think) the first Gamecube game I ever owned and played on Christmas day back in 2002. This game was fucking hard in parts. The obstacle course levels were annoying and stressful as hell but going back to it now, they are hard because the game's controls are often unpredictable and unfair. Sometimes I wanted Mario to jump but the jump didn't register, and stuff like that.

The levels where you have to go into the caves or portals where you lose FLUDD and have to go through an obstacle course gave me the worst anxiety I've ever felt as a child.
