Russian President Vladimir Putin has said he expects his "dear friend" and Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping to make a state visit in the spring, adding that he wants to ramp up military cooperation.
In a televised video conference between the two leaders, he said the visit would "demonstrate to the world the closeness of Russian-Chinese relations."
