does it include the forced subtitles that show up when playing in a dvd player but not in the pc. It is the subtitles just for the non english parts, not the entire video.

Hi. Appreciate the tutorial thanks! I tried the Free Download and after I select the source dvd disc to "auto-detect" it says "This is a damaged DVD video". How can it be when I can play it straight to my laptop with no issues? Also, the free download is only 5minutes, and finding out that they cannot read my dvd stating it's damaged when it is not, how can I be sure the Full Licensed DVD Ripper will work? I wanted my court dvd (which is about 11hrs long) to be sent as email attachment, is there anything else that is safe that does dvd extracting to pc ? Thanks much!

Although the software does usually work there are several reasons why you might not want to use it: Its commercial software so after the demo expires yo do have to pay for it; paying for it would be fine except that no commercial ripping software has survived the test of time, all of the classic programs that everyone used to use have gone out of business, leaving the folks that paid for it empty handed; Yes, going out of business in the ripping business is a fatal flaw because new discs have new protections that need new techniques to bypass, if the company goes out of business then you are out of luck; this software only processes DVDs not Blu-ray discs; although they advertise a huge speed increase, it really their seed increase still does not make it any faster than any other software, and finally, it creases files that are two times or (more) larger than Handbrake.

The bottom line is that you can do a much netter job (faster will smaller file sizes) by using the latest version of Handbrake and enabling Handbrake to process DVDs and Blu-ray discs, all of which you can do for free (its open source) and can rely on to be around for years to come.

good video but...in win 8.1 you can just copy+paste the content using the DVD icon, and the style of the video seems from the 80' :P:P:P

Here is an updated method that is completely free and open source (no viruses):

Install Handbrake 1.0.7
Insert disc
Launch Handbrake
Select disc (wait until Handbrake figures out which Title to use)
Select Preset (you can select Very Fast 1080p30, Handbrake will automatically set the correct size for you)
Select the Destination where you want the finished video to be saved
Click Start
Wait (depending on the size of the original video and the speed of your computer, it can take 30 minutes to many hours to complete)
Eject Disc
Once its complete you may view the video on your computer with VLC or similar player
