Answers for Practice FRQ:
a)
Stage 2 on the graph represents the fastest population growth rate. This is because a country in this phase will be undergoing industrialization, leading to improvement in healthcare and stable food, clean water availability. As a result, the death rate of the country falls rapidly, while the birth rate remains fairly constant due to the generational gap present in the society, leading to an overall population growth and development of the country.

b)
An economic indicator for a country in this phase would be a low per-capita GDP. This is a result of higher birth rates in the country, with majority of individuals still stuck in the agricultural sector. As more people make the transition from the agriculture to industrial sector, the per-capita GDP will eventually rise.

Stage 2 grows the fastest because the death rate drops while the birth rate increases due to factors of industralization and a indicator would be a country still with a high TFR and high IMR

Stage 2 is where the population grows the fastest, this is because there is a high birth rate and a low death rate. A country in this stage, is industrializing, and there will be an increase in available healthcare to the public, leading to a lower death rate.

Stage 2 has the highest population growth. This is due to the fact that the TFR is high, as women have less education and children provide manual labor for agrarian families. Another reason that it is high is because infants that die are often replaced. One indicator of this country would be low GDP and high TFR.

In age structure diagrams, a steep population pyramid indicates growth. Stage one of the DTM shows a similar chart, but it means stability. How does this work?
