I am turning 75 and when I heard this song last night on the radio I wanted to dance and jump and run home to my Savior's arms. Jesus came to me on Fathers Day!
Here's the story. I've been a believer for years. Starting the week before Fathers day week, I was praying for a week straight that God would give me grace, forgive me, and he would change my life and I would receive the Holy Spirit soon and Jesus would be there at church with me on Fathers day. Plus I wanted badly to be buried with Christ. I was baptised as a baby, but I wanted to be baptised all the way and be saved.
I prayed for days countless amount of times a week. Literally, on the week of Fathersday, not only God lead me to get a new job, and lead me to a school that I got accepted too in less than 36 hours, but literally on Fathers day, my folks, a few other people, and I were talking about baptism. I told them I wanted to be baptised. I'm now scheduled to be baptised on the 25th of June. It was set.
After talking about it with the pastor, and going into the worship room, we went to our seats, we sang the songs, we sat down and watched other people get baptised for the day. Then the pastor went over verses from Acts. As I was reading through Acts 1: 4-8 I felt the presence of the Holy Spirit near by. I knew that this verse was especially for me. Why? I looked closer at the verse finding out that it was Jesus who was saying those words in those verses. Folks! It was Jesus was talking to me! He was the one who wanted me to get baptised since the beginning of my prayer! He actually wanted me to be baptised! I'm so getting baptised on Sunday!! I'm so excited!

What was also pretty cool was that on the end of the week before Fathers day, I was also driven to read the words from John where Jesus was crucified, and I prayed to God that I bare witness, even if I didn't see it with my own eyes. Then I started reading a passage where Jesus started praying for himself, and his followers and the sinners. Before I read that, I was praying that I needed someone to pray for me, or help me with prayer at least. I knew the Holy spirit was helping out because when I read that passage where Jesus prayed, I felt the Lords presence there as well. Jesus had to have prayed for me that night as well!

Folks! Jesus has been doing me wonders this week! What he did for me, he will do the same for you! Just pray and ask! Knock and he will answer. Pray and you shall receive! That's what I tell you guys right now.
When I get baptised on Sunday, I'm sharing this message to everyone at the Church. I'm so telling everyone my story. My prayer is that my story, and this message will make a great impact on other peoples lives, and touch their hearts so they can be encouraged to keep praying, and let Jesus take over their lives.
I was also told that I make a really good rolemodle when it comes to getting closer to Jesus and giving my life to him because of what he's done for me, and I actually want people to see that because if anything, I'm glad I get to be an example to a lot of people. Because I want everyone to give their lives to Jesus and be closer to him, I'm going to continue sharing this story hoping and praying that this will touch peoples hearts. I will also continue praying for other people.
