I have been in church since I was a little girl, very seldom missing a Sunday. I am 56 now. I have experienced some of the worst times in my life in the last 12 years...the loss of both parents, my husband of 29 years committing suicide (he was a pastor for 8 years - so no one is exempt), come to terms with what caused that suicide and how it would impact my three grown sons, and the loss of my second husband to heart disease. There have been other things that I wont get into. I can tell you, with no uncertainty, that I have been hurt immensely by the church...and for a time, I could not get back into it. But there is nothing that can replace being with God's people and the fellowship and worship that goes on. If not for a pastor friend of mine, and his persistent love for me, and his knowing all that I'd been through...GOD NEVER GAVE UP ON ME!! This - almost year - that we have been unable to attend on a regular basis has been so hard...but it has also taught me how important church is to me.

I haven't been to church in 6 months ... I have been going through a tough season .. I was flipping the the radio this morning and stopped on klove .. first time I had heard this ... The only way I can describe the experience is bone chilling goosebumps .. guess who will be in regular attendance from now on.... This guy !

Yesterday September 11, 2019, was the first time I’ve been to church alone and it felt great! I met amazing people who welcomed me to the family of God! I cried so much as they all prayed over me . Next week I want to make public to the world that I’m a follower of Christ by getting baptized! I love you Jesus! ✝️😇🙏
