Ratio: EVERYTHING you need to know for maths GCSE!

This video is all to do with ratios. Perfect to help you with your maths GCSE revision or if you're learning this for the first time!

I look at what a ratio is and why we use them, how to simplify a ratio, how to divide an amount in a given ratio, how and why to simplify in the form 1:n and how ratios relate to fractions.

One of the skills you need when simplifying ratios is to be able to tell what a number can be divided by and I've done a couple of videos on that:

Hi, I love this. I have been watching some you tube videos that explained ratio as fraction. Example 2:3 can be written as 2/3. Could you explained why? I
See the denominator of fractions 3 as being split into 3 parts and numerator 2 is 2 of those 3 parts. So now when I see fraction should I see it as fraction or ratio. It would be great If you could explain
