Most conversions throughout history and even today occur due to neglect from the community the people belong to.
People convert to other religions in the hope of better prospects, respect and escape from poverty.
Most "Dalits" in India who have been kept away from the Hindu temples were the ones that took on other religions.
So, to reduce conversions there is no better way than empowering people, employing them and giving them respect.
Something the BJP can't do.
