This metric system review video tutorial provides an overview / review of how to convert from one unit to another using a technique called dimensional analysis or the factor label method. It shows you how perform conversions with SI units in the metric system and in the english system including units that contain exponents such as squares and cubes. It provides unit conversion practice problems that relates to chemistry, physics, and algebra. It contains word problems that relates to density and even a few sat proportion word problems.

I'm in university taking first-year chem, and we're starting the year with dimensional analysis, which has been a huge struggle for me to understand until i found this video. It has helped me really connect the dots in terms of the steps used to solve dimensional analysis problems, which is such a satisfying experience. One thing i would recommend is that when you put the word problems on the screen, maybe place them a few centimeters down towards the middle, because when the video is paused, the video title obscures the question. Great video, otherwise!

I just want to say how much i appreciate you! My stats instructor linked your videos to her online lectures last semester and they helped me get through the class. This semester I'm in chemistry and now you're helping with that! Thank you!

Was literally about to have a mental breakdown because I couldn’t figure out exactly what my teacher was talking about. Google wasn’t helping and I was really close to giving up. Thankfully I found this video, it really cleared up a lot of things!!

Your voice is so lovely, and everything was explained so easily and simply to understand. Because of your way of teaching, I have received very good scores on acuplacer which saves me time and money in college. Thank you. You are a great teacher.

Dimensional analysis has been a huge barrier for me when it comes to stoichiometry calculations later down the line, so thank you for providing this to us. You are a true savior, as you outcompete most professors

I also would like to give you a big thank you! Your work with these videos has helped me so much to understand these subjects that i need in my studies. It is very surprising for me that i learn much better from your short videos than from the materials that they give us from the school and they are in my native language but they are still much harder to understand. Keep going buddy .

I'm really glad that you save my life because I have weekly test tomorrow and I don't even understand about those lessons when my teacher teach me but you are really good at explaining and I'm clear about those lessons right now. Thank you so much!!!!

Your videos have helped me out so much. There is also another way to solve the mass in kg for the book. You can just convert the 12 oz to pounds, equaling 0.75. After calculating that, you can tack "0.75" onto 7 lbs, resulting in 7.75 lbs. From there, just convert lbs -> kg and you get 3.5227.

Thank you Thank you Thank you! I am going back to school after many years to start a new career and need to pass a chemistry class for my major. Its been about 20 years since I took chemistry and I completely forgot how to do conversions. This just saved me!
