Taking Our Tiny House Off-The-Grid ☀️

Right from the very beginning of our tiny house project, it was always important for us to be off-the-grid. For us, going off-the-grid is all about creating synergy with the elements, lowering expenses, reducing our ecological footprint, working with the seasons and getting to geek-out over some seriously cool technology.

In this video, we give an overview of the off-the-grid systems which we have integrated into our tiny house on wheels including solar power, rainwater harvesting, grey-water, composting toilet and more.

Without a doubt, making the decision to go off-the-grid in our tiny house is one of the best things we have ever done. From reducing our cost of living, to opening up more options with future parking spots, going off-the-grid has helped to add freedom to our lives.

We hope you enjoy this episode and find this information helpful! Going off the grid has been a huge learning curve but a really worthwhile endeavour. We can't wait to expand more on this in the future once our house is set up in a more long-term spot. Thanks for watching! With love, Bryce & Rasa

I do have a Delta Max but I use it as a back up power source and it does work really well.

The Delta Max is perfect for off grid living especially with the solar panels for renewable energy. They are pretty awesome.

I can relate to the feeling of being happy when it rains because it waters my garden and my plant babies. ☺️

Dear Bryce and Rasa, We're up here in Tokyo watching your inspirational videos. We've been pretty much binge watching them and are really so impressed with your presentations and all the various tiny houses you have visited. Every time we watch one, my partners digs me in the ribs to try to get me to make the off-grid, tiny house experience a reality. We wanted to thank you very much for all the hard work you and Rasa put into making the videos. You filled us with a lot of hope and joy. I am a total neophyte when it comes to even putting a shelf up, so to assemble a tiny house is very daunting for me. My dream would be to build one that is totally self-sufficient. The world needs more of us to live this way.

I got hooked on your vlogs... I have a tiny house myself, I built it while I was working overseas and always wanted to make it bigger someday... but after watching most of your vlogs, now I feel that I have a big, wide home and beginning to love it .... thank you Bryce 💕

It makes me think that every person should live in a tiny house off grid for at least a couple months to understand our energy usage, the systems needed, etc.

Well, you are walking the walk! Good for you. Great video as usual. An idea for these COVID times where your travel may be restricted: Go back and visit prior tiny house owners (using Zoom, e.g.) and ask how they are doing 2 years later, or whatever, ask what they like best, what they would change, etc. You probably have thought of that already, but just in case.... Best wishes going forward....
