I explain how I harvest energy, water and also warm up my house when living off the grid. Also, I talk about why I have chosen live off-grid alone with my dog in the forest. Love the aerial shots of the deer. It’s surprising how different the snow makes everything look! The whole landscape is changed, the cloak of winter shrouds the landscape we once recognised. The silence is deafening, broken only by the sound of the birds as they chatter to each other to tell of the feast that awaits them at your bird table! ❤

A wind turbine is a must have item for power augmentation especially for living off grid. They work in the worst weather conditions and when conditions are at their worst, you know the wind is blowing. I hope you get your wind mill up and running sooner than later. Good Luck!

Think about this: Many years ago, our ancestors who lived in less populated places did not have electricity... and they did not have solar either. They had a well for drinking water, or a rain catchment system that caught rainwater that was caught in rainwater gutters and went into barrels. They used lanterns and candles at night for lighting. So we could live without solar if it is too expensive.
