I just stumbled upon your channel and I'm astonished how accurate and thorough your work is! When you listed good ADHD jobs I laughed because I'm a Firefighter/EMT with a videography business on the side! 😂 So grateful to have you as a resource!

Thank you Dr Barkley for sharing your expertise and knowledge for free on YouTube. Here in the UK, my experience interacting with medical practitioners both in our health service and in private practice has been highly variable in terms of their knowledge of ADHD in adults and its treatment, beyond medication. Your lectures are an invaluable resource for adults with ADHD such as myself who wish to educate ourselves so that we may understand and live with this disorder to our greatest capacity. The positive impact to my life and undoubtedly many others has been transformative. Thank you.

16:55 I am AuDHD. I considered myself a night owl my whole life but in my 30s something flipped or I was just lying to myself. I get way better sleep now with my hygiene routine too. Mornings are the calm time when I'm not over stimulated.

❓❓Is there any research on ADHD prescription stimulants and heart health longterm and in older adults❓❓

I have been having heart palpations (wore a 14 day heart monitor and nothing major yet). Another GP I saw (not my regular) shamed me for taking stimulants for ADHD “at my age.”

The psychiatrist who prescribes them to me isn’t knowledgeable on this matter.

Hey Doc, I'm 25, diagnosed 4 months ago. I'm taking modafinil, what do you think about that? I know FDA didn't approved yet, and it's really working
