Making a Night Light
Показать описание
Making the night light was definitely a fun project that Caity still uses every night! Matt made this piece out of some acrylic and marble wood using Amana Tools from Toolstoday! What do you think about the short videos like these?

The acrylic was painted and cut on Matt's Axiom Precision AR8 Basic 24"x48" CNC, now available on our website! He used a item no. 51441-K 1/16" Spektra™ spiral 'O' flute upcut bit to remove the paint in the shape of his daughters name.

The Amana Tool's item no. 610301 10" glue-line rip blade did a great job cutting down this marble wood leaving a perfectly smooth surface! The blade was then switched out for the item no. RB1020C Euro-Rip ElectroBlu coated flat tooth grind blade to cut the grooves for the backer and acrylic.

The item no. RB1020C 10" diameter 20t Flat Top Grind ElectroBlu blade was raised through the insert creating a perfect zero clearance kerf. This will prevent any chips from falling into the kerf, improve dust collection and cut quality! Such a great upgrade to any saw!

To do all of the cross cutting the blade was switched out for the item no. 610800C 10" Electroblu cross cut blade. This left beautifully clean cuts with no sanding or chipout at all!

LEDs were added to the back piece and the box was assembled and checked for square using the @woodpeckers_tools mini square. The splines were glued in and flushed up with a hand plane. The box was sanded and was hand sanded using the Gator Finishing micro-zip. Spray Lacquer was applied and this night light is done! #short
