What's the Purpose of School?

The dominant model of school is rooted in an outdated approach to learning. While there are aspects of that model that might work for some, we are increasingly waking up to the reality that the existing design and model of education delivered by schools is no longer fit for the purpose, or the students being served.

In this course, we look at the history of schooling and highlight how little has changed since the industrial revolution. We consider the pressing need for change and a shift to a more wholistic model that has wellbeing at its heart.
