Garappolo : choked away the 49ers lead in a Super Bowl

These guys all came so so close the bringing Lombardi number 6 to San Fran. I don’t think the team has ever had, at a minimum since ‘94, the overall talent like they do in 2023. If Purdy can be just as good as these guys, which so far he’s beaten them by a mile, idk how you can’t see that the Niners are the clear Super Bowl favorite.

You can’t really compare Alex Smith to Purdy because those teams with Singletary as coach and Alex Smith as starting QB Alex Smith was so dysfunctional.

I just don't really understand how this is useful at all. Plenty of good QBs started slowly, and plenty of QBs had hot starts and then flamed out. I think what's most important is that Purdy passes the eye test. He's calm and decisive out there, and has enough physical tools to evade pressure and deliver the ball accurately.

I really feel the Brady comp, a late draft pick who got to play because they're starter(I know jimmy g wasnt technically the starter but wtv) and is a perfect fit in the recpective teams system
