I’ve read a lot of Burroughs books, so I feel I can speak authoritatively on this.
The trailer making the Burroughs character sympathetic is unsettling to me. I have enjoyed his books immensely, but never once did I like him or his alter egos.

Daniel Craig’s acting was superb and the characters throughout were fascinating to watch. Luca Gaudagnino’s directing is top notch. Strange movie but not disappointing due to the acting. Typical William Burroughs story.
