How to Change Genshin Impact File Location | Change Game Directory Without Redownloading 2024

In this short tutorial, I’ll be showing you how to change game folder of Genshin Impact from one location to other. This easy tutorial will be helpful to anyone trying to change the file location easily.
Genshin Impact is an action role-playing game developed and published by miHoYo. The game features an open-world environment and action-based battle system using elemental magic and character-switching and uses gacha game monetization for players to obtain new characters, weapons, and other resources.
To change the game folder of Genshin Impact from one location to another, follow the steps mentioned below:
The first thing you’ll need to do is, right-click on the Genshin Impact’s icon from your desktop, and then click on ‘Open File Location’
After that, you’ll have to click on ‘Genshin Impact’ from the row, right above your files, and then click on the mentioned file name right behind it.
You’ll then be able to locate the main folder of your game, then right-click on it, and click on ‘Cut.’
Once you do that, you’ll have to choose a location where you’d like to place the game folder and right-click on your mouse, then click on ‘Paste’
Then from the same section inside the main folder, find ‘Genshin Impact Game’ and open it.
After you do that, select the file location row and then copy all of it.
Finally, save the file by clicking on ‘File’ on the top left of the tab and then click on ‘Save’
After following all the steps mentioned, you’ll be able to change the game folder of Genshin Impact from one location to other.

You're a life saver. I had to change the location because I only had 80gb left on drive c, but had 700gb free on drive d. I tried to move it before but I just didn't know how to do it and ended up uninstalling the game lmao. I had to do that with sumeru coming out tomorrow.
