The Katpana Desert or Cold Desert is a high-altitude desert located near Skardu in District Shigar, Gilgit-Baltistan, Pakistan. The desert contains large sand dunes that are sometimes covered in snow during the winters.

I once read a missionary's diary, and he commented that Kashmir is one of the most beautiful places on Earth. In fact, i find from your video that most of Northern Pakistan is really beautiful because it is so near to those wonderful mountain ranges (K2 is just beyond). Thanks Alan & shannon for showing these parts of the region and the people, which we presumably mistook to be hostile. Apart from loving your China vlog, i would say this content is second ❤.
