I am now eight months clean, a couple of these people interviewed were my former acquaintances, i even saw some of the abandoned houses i use to be in. I am now thanking the good lord for delivering me. I just randomly selected this documentary. That is God telling me too continue staying clean.🙏🙏🙏🙏

When he declared he wasn't living any type of way because he has a room and food and the interviewer just stared at him blankly😢.

Psychedelics are just an exceptional mental health breakthrough. It's quite fascinating how effective they are against Suicidal, depression and anxiety. Saved my life.

Now, that’s journalism I want to see. Sheer truth. You risk your health for us. Kudos for that.

Seeing my son in this video is truly one of the most heartbreaking things I’ve ever seen. I pray everyday that him and all people that are addicted make it one more day and get the strength to get out of the situation. If they could only understand what it does to the people who love them 💔

Man I am so glad I left Detroit. I was just like the girl with tat on her face. Never thought I'd be clean and living life right. Recovery is possible. You just gotta want it. I am 8 years clean . I can never see myself falling back in to old habits.

Due to a double hernia in 2017, I came into contact with oxycodone, prescribed by my GP. I was someone who wouldn't even take aspirin for pain, drink alcohol or smoke. But because I could no longer walk or sit due to the pain, and as a single mother of 4 children, this is not convenient. The doctor never warned me about the dangers of oxycodone, and I discovered that it was so addictive when it was too late. I have been to a clinic twice, but unfortunately this failed due to tapering off much too quickly and other health problems. Now I'm slowly reducing my intake, and it's going well. I want to ask if you would pray for me so that this time will be successful!
I will also pray for those who are dealing with this devastating addiction, it is hell. and their family/friends. Thank you in advance!

My brother just passed away a few weeks ago in Detroit from drugs 😭 This is so sad he was 29 and we just lost our Mom 7 months ago. He tried crack at 16 and was addicted immediately! Don’t do drugs! Save yourself! Rest in Heaven Lonnie Bush! This world is so evil.

I'm from the UK and i can tell you this, this is the moment when the full reality hit Aaron in the face no filter... That's the problem drug users have, they don't actually realise how sickening the Squalor they are living is, just because he's got food clothes and a room makes his conditions superior. That's so far from realty it's mind boggling for him not to see it's a Squalor... Wow, that's the power of drugs, it binds you from seeing the true reality... 4:48

Had a friend was a great bassist guitarist, music nut had 10k stereo set up, nice house, good family. Turned to heroin and i saw his life fall apart. Last time i saw him all he had was a bed with an axe under it. I tried my best to help him but it made no difference. Someone needs to realy want to change themself you cant change them.

my boyfriend i met in 91 from D. was smoking crack, he hid it quite well for the first year or so, then strange things started happening such as car missing, cars wrecked, not coming home for days at a time while stealing my car, he was beat up with broken jaw and went to bed all bloody till next day took him to the hospital, beat up again, hit by a car, my bikes missing, my money missing, jewelry missing, more lame stories from him. tried to remove him tons of times with no help from sheriffs or courts, they seemed to enjoy my heartache and even laughed when called so many times for him beating me up. Sometimes removing me instead of him. Well fast forward i retired in Jan 2011 and he od'd at a drug house in the Clem on june 2011, finally i was free from his drugging. it can go on a real long time, 2 decades in my situation and no one will help for the most part. they know how to manipulate the courts and family. just stay far away from them if possible cause they will ruin your life

I left Detroit 40 years ago and moved to California. But much of my heart still lives there and this is heartbreaking!😢
