This battleship is impressive in how long it served

Arkansas was the oldest battleship to be service with any allied fleet. Even HMS Centurion was not laid down until 1911

The Alaska class Large cruisers had better 12 inch guns that Arkansas, on a hull that moved 12 knots faster, travelled 4, 000 nm further at 50% higher cruising speed, and generally better armor protection at battle ranges the Arkansas couldn't actually fight at (due to her more limited gun range).

She was used as a test/target ship at the Bikini Atol during the atom bomb testing at the end of her career.
