Mafia 1 Remake (Definitive Edition) Heat from the Cops Trophy / Achievement Guide - Lost the cops after accruing a five star police chase [Bronze]

This is technically an automatic story-related trophy and cannot be missed.

The best place to do this is in Chapter 17: Election Campaign.
At the end of this chapter you will automatically trigger a 5 star police chase and must escape to advance the story. This is easily done by jumping over one of the barricades marked by a white icon on the minimap (it will crash some cop cars and break their line of sight). Once you're out of their line of sight, drive to the docks and hide where no police cars can go. Get out of your car and just hide behind some crates. If you are unable to break the police's line of sight, you can try killing off all cops in a secluded location (again, docks are great) and then just hiding behind cover after they're all dead.

Did this on classic difficulty: camp in a good spot and kill all the cops that through the prison entrance. Then go back inside. Unless you show yourself, they won’t find you. Once the coast is clear just stroll out the entrance. No need to drive around with the funky controls.

You can also easily do this in free ride at any time, in the same spot. I did it post-story. I had a stolen police car already. Being spotted by the cops will get you 2 stars already. Drive to the location of the prison in Central Island, shoot at some civilians or any police outside, more will come. Get to 5 stars and jump the fence, turn left and hide somewhere, behind the wall, and wait about a minute for the heat to die down. Did it last night in free roam.

Easy way. Same mission, but when police invade prison, go back to second floor there will be hole in the wall (dude throw something into it when you arrive here), go through that hole, climb up where yours car is, deal with one cop, you will receive 5 stars and quickly comeback to sewers hole, sit there about a minute. This way not only get trophy, but even will be able to comeback home without police chase.

Lol I think this trophy might be a reference to Worth A Buy. He is a big Mafia fan so it wouldn't surprise me.

the way i got this trophy just now is when i got to the entrance seen in the video i turned right and went down into the sewers and came out the other end and just waited until the 5 stars disappeared and popped the trophy. then i just lock picked the blue car that's right there and that's it.

I got my achievement when you break in the mansion you just shoot some cops then hop in the car until you got 5 stars, drive fast through the country side and they will lose you

You can try this at the end of chapter 8. The story expects you to escape the cops, as they spawn infinitely. I got 5 star alert there but I didn't escape because I didn't know about the trophy.

This one of the hardest trophies that is easy to cheese. Hide in the sewers or get out of sight and just park behind a building, they'll never find you.

You can just go hiding back in the sewers. Much easier and faster option.

How do you get 5 stars? I’m playing on classic difficulty and killed over 20’cops and ran out of ammo

Had a weird glitch happen on mine, I died just after attaining 5 star wanted rating so reloaded checkpoint, when I reloaded on 4 stars I ran out stole police car started to drive off and my wanted rating disappeared instantly and cops went back on patrol lol reloading checkpoint won’t work either im gonna have to replay 🤦🏼‍♂️

you know you can just go back to the sewer and lose them there they will not follow :D
