It's like they just took the Android out of touchwiz. Meaning they left the worst in and took the best out.

What about things like moving the display as the browser is loading a page? Does it continue to render or pause rendering to move the page. Supports active wallpaper?
What does it show while booting? When you load a bunch of apps, does it crash?
What do they claim are the advantages over Android, if any?

Response time seems slow - from button press to loaded app. That may be due to cheap reference hardware.

Redwood will be high end phone that supports 4G and Melius will be mid range phone, supports 3G.

Yes, ofcourse, it's a beta, no doubt it will be as smooth as any other system out here per date.
Personaly I think this might be a good choise one day.

Im gonna wait till the final cut is out. Atm im most keen for ubuntu for some reason. Hope Tizen works put coz more OS mean more options for us the ppl, be it open or closed OS lol

Samsung we've been real cool since the A920 but if you stop running on Android I will have no problem with cutting you off.

Apple has a wife -- iOS. Samsung has mistresses -- Bada, Android, Windows, and now Tizen. :-)

First, never said Samsung was popular with phones before Android. Stop reading what you hope I say. Makes YOU sound like a fanboy.

Second, Nexus isn't the "original" Android phone. But yes, Android the way Google intended.

Lastly, Google makes phones. Samsung makes phones. That puts them in direct competition. This split was going to happen eventually. I'm not saying I like it at all, or that it will work, just pointing out the logic in the process.
