How to make a petroglyph

NOTE: Petroglyphs have been made by nearly all cultures around the world. They are part of our shared cultural heritage. It is crucial to never touch or damage petroglyphs. Take only pictures and treat these treasures with respect!

When I demonstrated the techniques for making petroglyphs, I did so on rocks at my home. Never attempt this kind of rock art out in the wilderness as such an accidental forgery could potentially disrupt scientific understanding of a region.
