'Strange': Andrew Bolt questions appointment of UK Labour women and equalities minister

Sky News host Andrew Bolt has criticised UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer's decision to pick Anneliese Dodds as the new women and equalities minister following past comments she had made on gender.

During an interview on BBC Radio in 2022 Ms Dodds seemed to flounder was asked what Labour’s definition of a woman.

"It's strange that she's a minister for women when she's not sure what a woman even is," Mr Bolt said.

I'm 72 years old. From when I was a boy if an individual had a willy, that individual was a boy / man. If an individual didn't have a willy that individual was a girl / woman. Now, as I have moved through life a number of things became apparent. Boys / men weren't always attracted to girls / women, and vice versa, but to the same sex, boys / men to boys / men, girls / women to girls women. Down the years they were "called" different things - let's stick to the latest description : gay. Fine, get on with it. But then something new came along - boys / men and girls / women were, in their own words, born into the wrong body - boy / man felt they should have been born into a girl / woman body. Overtime they had a sex change. And so the "have they or have they not got a willy". And so the new identity was established but the determining factor remained the same : "willy or no willy" : boy / man, girl / woman. But now what's happened is that people can "self-identify" and can do that, and change that self-identity, whenever and as often as they choose, with reference to the "willy" question. And that, under any circumstances is WRONG. If one wishes to dress as the alternative sex, for whatever reason they choose, fine. But if you're a boy / man and choose to dress as a girl / woman and declare, for that period of dress, that you are a girl / woman, that's fine. But don't expect top be treated as a woman and use their spaces. If you've got a "willy" you're a boy / man. If not you're a girl / woman. END OF.
