You can actually get roughly around 6 St. George's sword in the entire game which you can get from
Woodland Garden in Ledetchko,
The End road to North east of Neuhof,
Rattay Tourney.

72 base damage. If you have 20 str and 20 sword you do well over 150 damage. And basically 1 hit kill anything with a clean hit.

The reason why you had problems to find it is because the landmark you are looking for is not that wagon thing, but a big dark rock a little before that. Is very easy to see and if you go north from there, you see the tree immediately. The map is VERY accurate.

Thank you ESO, I went up the hill to the wooland with 50 lockpicks and 2 padfoot potions. Came down with 47 lockpicks, one padfoot and one bad ass sword. So happy 😊 PS4

Just gone to find this myself and interestingly, if you go there at night (as I did) its easier to find because the tree is surrounded by fire flies! It also seems to no longer be an EASY chest. It is now a HARD chest.

There's actually another place that you can go to get the St Georges sword. Just up the main road that takes you off the map by Neuhof. It's in a chest at a campsite and contains some really nice armour too, doesn't require any lock picking.

Or try stealing Hans Capon's chest in one of his sidequest after the hunting accident.

IMO, that's faster and easier to do if you really want this sword.

You can also find this sword in a chest located in a camp near the road that goes north east after Neuhof, almost at the limit of the map. And there is a lot of good stuff in here too 😉

You can steal it from Capons in the bath mission, no need to lock pick. It's in the chest along with the town's hall key

You can get the sword during the quest with Hans capon when hes bathing at the bathhouse, its in a chest next to the tub

Been playing this game recently and I found out that the luck of the drunk perk in the lock picking skill is very power full. You need to get to lvl 6 to unlock it which can be done fairly quickly go and pick all the very easy and easy locks in Ratay at night and also use the training chest near the millers house as you can pick the lock and open it then close it again and repeat a bunch of times. Then when u unlock luck of the drunk drink whatever to make you drunk even a saviour shnap works then you can pick ANY LOCK. Also all these videos from 4 years ago say the st Georges sword is the best weapon and it’s true it’s great and also super fun but the best weapon is rlly the stinger which does the highest stab damage in the game. What makes this so strong is that you can stab people in the head and one shot them most of the time if they don’t have a helmet and even if they do have a helmet just repeatedly stab them in the head and they go down fast. If you are wondering how to stab in the head then you need to aim the weapon up then click the stab button it is so broken and I would consider it a cheese strat. Pair this with the booche shield which can be stolen from the ratay armourer at night using your luck of the drunk perk. You can get the stinger from one of the treasure chests. Also one final thing train with sir bernard and get the master strike training asap. The soonest you can do this is immediately after enrolling in the bailiffs service. Don’t go see nightingale untill you have got the training as the nightingale quest will set you on a bunch of timed quests which you must stick to unless you fail them. To more successfully use the master strike position your weapon in the same spot as your enemy so mirror them then of course do the perfect block and it should become a master strike. Similarly if you want to attack try to attack from a different spot to their weapon to avoid having the master strike on you however I still recommend just repeatedly stab the head. Faints are borderline useless as they are so inconsistent. Combos are fun but also mostly useless. Just train for the perfect block as much as you can and perfect it then most fights will be a great. I like to watch them swing and block off of that as it’s a better que then a green shield which pops up for a split second. To lvl up your fighting stuff I like to enroll in the tourney at an early lvl and just endlessly wack and block my opponents and it lvls up your stats fast. Also if you win the first tourney by defeating black Peter then make sure to buy an antidote from the ratay general trader or wherever as he will jump you near your home by the millers house and he has a poison sword which will endlessly poison you untill you die unless you drink the antidote. Potions like marigold only mildly slow it’s effects. In general I recommend saving lots of money about 6k which you can do just be robbing all the stores in ratay at night using luck of the drunk (their money resets after a few days) then head ti neuhof and by the tear 5 horse there. It’s the slowest out of all the tear five horse but rlly good in every other stat and it’s still stupidly fast feels like driving 70 mph also but military horshoes and the a bag nobal saddel then you will have lots of space to store things on your horse. Always keep a shovel and every book you find pit it on your horse to read later. I also like to get lots of potions and store a bunch on me and my horse so when I see any more than 2 opponents I chug all the potions and become a walking god. I also keep a bunch of digestive potions on me as potions fill your hunger bar so having the digestive one reduces it to avoid the pig downbuff. These are all my tips for new players the rest is down to you

Not sure if anyone else has said but there is a much easier way to get the sword. Just wait until you're at the bath house with a certain lord and when said lord asks you to get him some wine just open the chest an take his one. No issues and you have yourself a great sword :)
