“What really knocks me out is a book that, when you're all done reading it, you wish the author that wrote it was a terrific friend of yours and you could call him up on the phone whenever you felt like it. That doesn't happen much, though.” – J.D. Salinger

What a great list of recommendations!! I will definitely be returning to this video. Across the Nightengale Floor, Terra Nullius and Swan Book are all ones I want to check out.

So many great recommendations!!! This was dangerous for me to watch, lol!!! I completely spaced that Jay Kristoff was Australian. My husband has been trying to get me to read Nevernight for ages now, maybe this should be the month it finally happens!

My favorite Aussie author has definitely got to be Kate Morton. I'm going to be reading her newest novel The Clockmaker's Daughter in April!

This sounds so great! I think I'll only be able to fit in 2 books so I am hoping to read the Clockmaker's Daughter by Kate Morton (this will be my first by her even though I own 3 others lol) and the Dry by Jane Harper (due to your praise!)😄

Love this so much, thanks for all of your recommendations (I’m reading Trent Dalton at the moment!) and your TBR is so exciting. Tera Nullius is a great one, and I keep seeing Aussie reviewers talking about The Scholar so I’ll have to look into it 😊

I loved Stasiland by Anna Funder years ago so totally need to get to All That I Am!

Alice Hart 🥰🥰🥰 Holly Ringland is such a star, I can’t wait for more of her work 🙌🏻

I lucked out as I already had two Australian books on the TBR, The Strays and Flames. I might try and read a few short stories as well from Trick of the Light by Laura Elvery if I have time.

I just bought The Ruin in March after having it highly recommended by my manager—I'm so excited to get to it this month! Another one of my co-workers just read Boy Swallows Universe and has convinced me to give it a go too. Aren't booksellers the best? Good luck with #AussieApril!

I am always curious about books with a different setting, and I'm looking for an Australian book for my TBR.

I read The Ruin but I thought Dervla was an Irish writer??? I'm reading The Strays by Emily Bitto. I read The Lost Flowers of Alice Hart via audio. I love listening to Aussie accent reading me a good book.

One book I heard it's great by an Australian Author is What Alice Forgot
by Liane Moriarty. Although Jay Kristoff's books are more into my favorite genres.
