Was Tutankhamun ERASED from history?

In previous videos I mentioned that certain pharaohs didn't appear on king lists, including Tutankhamun. But why? What ARE king lists, and is Tut's exclusion an attempt to delete him from history?

I would indeed enjoy a more elaborate version addressing erasure from King Lists.
I'm also curious about the idea that Tutankhamen's tomb was untouched because he forgotten to the point that another tomb was placed over his?

I disagree with the idea that King Tut was not purposefully erased from history. I don't know if you have visited Egypt but I have. I've visited the ruins of Amarna every tomb that showed Akhenaten and Nefertiti were defaced. The city was pretty much razed to the ground to destroy it's legacy/memory from historical records. The talatats Amarna was constructed with, were moved elsewhere--because its dressed and cut stone was still useful, despite their origins. One of the first references to the existence of Akhetaten was the discovery of the Amarna Letters.
