Everything on social media is about image and esthetics. It's so exhausting to see very intriguing concepts being reduced to make-up trends and poor acting. I'm saying this as a young woman. I understand the weight and importance of social media in contemporary reality. I don't bash it but it's like a fodder of a capitalistic fantasy. Looks have always been important but appearance used to be set in the context of art. Now just the facade is an art itself being sold to the masses.
