Leviticus Principle 13: Sexual Sins

When we fail God morally, we are to confess our sins and accept complete forgiveness through the shed blood of Christ.

It's really hard today 2019 to see people belittle marriage. Women choose men today in some cultures as mine. I'm not married though, but as a Man I feel as though I have failed God. Please pray for me to repent and grow purely in Christ Jesus.

There is so much guilt involved in a believer committing a sexual sin, perhaps even more than any other moral failing. Most people do not understand that, believer or unbeliever, when you have an intimate relationship with another person, even short term, you create a soul tie with that person, and that soul tie can affect you for the rest of your life, unless you seek forgiveness AND deliverance from the Lord Jesus Christ. The believer who commits a sexual sin may try to run from God, rather than confess and seek forgiveness through the blood of Jesus. It's impossible to run from God, and He lovingly pursues each of us no matter what we've done because He desires restoration. The believer who does confess and receives forgiveness may have trouble forgiving himself/herself, however. This is where it is very helpful to have a godly friend who can lend spiritual support, to remind the person that when we do not forgive ourselves, we are, in essence, saying that Jesus' death on the cross was not enough. Once the aspect of forgiving one's self has been conquered, accountability to a believing friend is crucial, for it will help maintain that biblical standard of sexual purity. This sermon indicates Christianity continues in it's failure to confront the cultural delay of marriage. In the bible people married in their early teens, but today people delay marriage until their late 20's. Protecting children and expecting people to be 13 year-old virgins is good. But expecting people to be 30 year old virgins on the very same basis today just seems cruel.

The kind of morality here should be disregarded because it goes with burning witches at the stake. Ex 22:16-18.
