Having spent the majority of my working career in Tech, "casual" dress has been my regular uniform; generally jeans with an un-tucked buttoned shirt and casual shoes (not sneakers). While I'm still in Tech, I've recently discovered, at 57, that dressing nicely changes the way that I feel about myself, and how others perceive me as a person. While I discovered your channel after I made the change and upgraded my wardrobe, what you're showing and saying has proved to be quite valuable as I grow into this newfound style. Thank you for taking the time to produce these videos and for offering your views on being a gentleman. My next purchase is a variety of your socks.

Im so excited i found this channel! Im into Victorian fashion but i dont know as much about mens fashion. I wanted to get into sewing clothes and making things for my husband as well and this will be an EXCELLENT resource for me! Thank you!

Really enjoy your channel. My wife and daughter love the retro look in ladies fashion. They shop at thrift stores and estate sales where we live (55 plus community) where loads of real vintage items can be found on Thursdays and Fridays. I am not much of a dress em up guy. I am more a wet suit scuba/free diver/beach bum ruffian/cad about town. Well, I have been learning things from your channel. We were at a flea market in San Diego CA, and there were loads of "storage locker" items on long tables, clothes included. On a whim, I started going thru things....I found a nice tweed, manila colored classic looking jacket, tried it on and it fit as if tailored for me. I have a 48-49 inch chest, 32 inch waist, so things are kind of difficult to find, including wetsuits, for me. I paired it with trousers I had had (brown) and a classic looking tie. Then I found a pair of Nunn Bush brown oxfords, leather upper and lower at another thrift store, almost unused, just needed a dust-off. Attended Sunday services yesterday, kinda nervous, and then got an outpouring of positive responses about the excellent classic looks. Thank you so much. The coat was only ten bucks and the shoes were around 16. Thanks again!

A few questions I hope you won't mind answering: Where is the baseball type cap appropriate? What about sport shoes? If I travel, I have to take a hat that cant be packed. So what should I take? What hat should be worn with jeans and a polo type shirt to say - an outdoor barbecue? Are T-shirts ever appropriate? Is there a dress situation where a watch should not be worn? My mother said one should always use the napkin before taking a drink. Is this still correct? Thanks for your comments. -Migs
