Fall Garden: New Plants and Transplants

In this video, I take you on a little Fall garden tour of new plants and transplants I’ve added to my front yard gardens this month in zone 7, southern New Jersey. This fall I planted some fluffy arborvitae to replace a hedge we took down last fall. The trees were ok, but when I went to prune them I was inspired - by gardening channels like this - to make a change and plant something I love. The hedge will be looser, still giving the neighbors sun, and be less maintenance. The arbs are yellow and I can't wait for them to grow up.

Did you order any bulbs? I’m still waiting for my delivery of daffodils. The garden center clearance sales are just starting and I found a nice large boxwood that I think I turn into a spiral. I’m not sure if I should try before or after it puts out it’s spring growth.

I haven't done any plating this fall because I live in USDA Zone 9 a and its still so hot.

Unfortunately I had to get rid of my cat mints this year bcz it was attracting too many stray cats into my garden & they kept eating & laying in it. It was very sad.
