It’s Official - Best OLED Monitor of 2024
2024 was an absolutely incredible year for monitors. Everything that we got from the 4k OLEDs to the super high refresh rate, 2k OLEDs were just mind boggling in terms of their quality, which made trying to pick the best monitor of 2024 really difficult. But there can only be one true best monitor of 2024. And after testing just about every single 4k OLED that has released this year, as well as 1440p and many others, well, I gotta say we have to narrow it down. And the first thing that I thought of was what am I looking for in a monitor? And for me personally, not only is it speed, not only is it color, but it's also the overall package quality. And a big portion of that for my personal use has to do with the resolution. So I really had to narrow it down to 4k OLEDs because as much as I love the super fast refresh rates and the better affordability of 1440p OLEDs, they are excellent. Don't get me wrong. Personally, I think those 4k OLEDs are just a touch better and do make them worth the extra expense. If you're into super high end PC gaming, or if you want to watch 4k movies or anything else in a higher resolution. So that definitely narrowed it down. And I gotta be honest with you guys, whether you're buying the most affordable 4k 240 Hertz or even 165 Hertz OLED or the most expensive one, well, the actual overall quality when it comes to gaming is going to be pretty close.

Just a friendly note for you guys: WOLED Monitors from Asus cannot display shadow detail in HDR movies or tv series. They turn dark scenes so dark you cant see anything. Remember the Long night in game of thrones? Infamous for being dark? Yeah these monitors are unable to reproduce any detail in that episode when HDR is enabled because the EOTF gamma tracking is off in near black.

It's just the price difference in my region (UK)

The ASUS is almost £1200 while the Alienware is £798... It's an insane price difference so I actually bought the Alienware today and it will be arriving tomorrow :) plus it's on Amazon and had monthly payments available at no interest so it's only £66 a month for 12 months.

I managed to get Samsung G8 G80SD for 799€ on a deal, 1200-1300€ normally. Can't wait for it to arrive, anything other oled in europe was crazy expensive, 1100€ at the minimum.

I went with the Asus 32 UCDP. Gorgeous monitor with both 240 4k and 480 1080p. The 480 in CS2 is HUGE!!!!

I bought the msi 321 urx few weeks ago in sale. Still very expensive in Nz. I was using a 1080 40inch TV so obviously big improvement in resolution for me Great colour's and pin sharp. I didnt want curved and not too big.

I came to the realization that I wanted great picture quality foremost. So buying a gaming monitor was kind of 2nd compare to watching movies. Probably just going to get LG C4 42"

I really like this monitor but it is impossible to clean without causing permanent damage. The screen is insanely delicate. Returned it and got he LG C4. Better stronger glass and display that honestly looks better to me.

Just bought the LG 34GS95QE an hour before this video 😭😭 excited to go back to 21:9 for my main monitor and sure as hell the OLED panel! Waiting for the 5k2k in 2026 as my end game monitor
