I’ve been to many Greek islands and Naxos has to top all others when it comes to seeing cats everywhere.
They are well looked after with feeding stations dotted all over the island. Several animal welfare groups and charities coordinate spray and neuter programs, provide medical care and try and find forever homes for these cats.
They are all very friendly and look really healthy, if you’re a cat lover you’ll love Naxos particularly the main town!
