Raccoons in my attic

My wife tells me "I hear a funny squeaky sound in the ceiling"
I answer - "you don't know what your talking about; you couldn't hear a dump truck driving through a nitroglycerin plant"
So she makes me go upstairs; and it turns out the was right.
Damn raccoons in the attic.
We got the babies, and I caught the mother a few hours later.
Today we are taking the momma and her babies to a raccoon rescue.

Duly noted thanks. Lat night I caught the mother and her and her babies are together and she's being a good momma to them. Today her and the babies are headed to a sanctuary.

I wanted to keep them; but my wife wouldn't let me.
They are currently at a great rescue; with this huge cage. momma is with the babies. The babies are in a cozy nesting box in the cage.

Those babies are extremely young and need to nurse about every hour or so... or they risk dying. You might have to let them nurse is my point. If the mother is hesitant to come down right away, put some food in the trap to lure her down. They love peanut butter on bread! Thanks for being humane and good luck.

Hire a pro. I had to do that to get squirrels from my attic. Raccoons are known carriers of rabies. And not just through their saliva.
