XTOOL D7 Car Diagnostic Tool - can it do all?

Is XTOOL D7 the best tablet car #scanner now? Looked for pros & cons, ups & down in VW, BMW, and Fiat. Made full fault scans, tried guided procedures for EPB and service reset, checked live data like ATF temperature, DPF state, fuel pressure, injector corrections, forced output tests of instrument cluster, fixed missing basic settings of sunroof. Great device for vehicle diagnostics and repairs. One thing that I noticed missing over here is VAG coding option, which is one of the essential things required for working with VW/Audi/Seat/Skoda vehicles, for example when replacing modules or when enabling & tweaking new features.

Very good long review ! I have one question : what is the différence between spécial function from main page (list of 31 icon of spécial function) and spécial function in ECU menu ? Is it same, and just a short cut or différent feature ??

Very interesting scan tool but it would appear not to be capable of coding new fuel injectors after replacement.
Very disappointed by this lack of ability in this area

Well... in my short time with it, I found it cannot reset the Inspection Due alarm on an Audi. Function not supported according to the D7.

Speaking of transmission fluid change, some manufacturers require performing "transmission relearn". Can the D7 do that as well?

Not perfect but for the price its awesome.
The D7S is available for a little more. Same device but wireless.
Maybe some things are missing, but ill bet they have them on higher end models. That kind of thing is why there are higher end models.

I have a D7 and D8. (Recently received). I find that neither does much with my early Dodge minivans (up to 2006). Either Dodge has locked all the functionality or XToool is geared more toward foreign vehicles. Really disappointed because I had high expectations. With these vehicles it's little more than an OBD2 scanner.

Hello, I have a question, I recently purchased a D7, it discharges quickly, even when stored, I imagine this is normal due to the 4000mh battery. Do you recommend turning it off when storing it or not?

It appears unless you keep this scanner updated it will not connect with your car it says must update so i guess when the free updates stop they can shut it down

Can it do a nox sensor reset on a 2018 vauxhall insignia? Ive got a icars9ft cr max and it can do the function, just only on certain makes, opel/vauxhall not being one of them
