Using the iPhone 4S, 9 years later - Review

The iPhone 4S came out in 2011 bringing the first personal assistant to the mainstream in Siri along with significant hardware improvements. While the 4S was set up to potentially be one of the greatest iPhones, this wouldn't last as Apple updated it all the way to iOS 9. How does it hold up in 2020?

My mom still uses black 4s, and it´s alright for her needs. She calls all the time and takes photos of family, she doesnt use internet. Really good phone if all you need is call and SMS feature...

I still use the iPhone 4S as a music player for my car. I downgraded it to iOS 6 since newer versions don't work with my car stereo.

in the philippines, a lot of kids and some adults are still using the Iphone 4s because of its price. They still refer the iphone 4s like a Iphone x.

The 64gb model was insane back in it's day. I remember when my at the time 17 year old sister spent her entire first paycheck on a new 64gb iphone 4s back in 2012. You would be in for a challenge to max out that kind of storage on a 4s back then.

This phone was infamous and famous. Infamous from its iOS 9 problem.. and famous because of Siri. Glad that Apple decided to use the same design for the iPhone X. Good job Josh! So informational for tech enthusiasts

My dad still used the 4s as his daily driver. Instead of using the broken home button as a sign for a new one he went and got it fixed and has decided it's still okay.

My friend's cousin still uses the iPhone 3GS somehow, he's replaced the battery 4 times since he got it in 2010. He refuses to upgrade. He was gifted an iphone SE 2020 several months back, and he refused to accept it. Dudes a bit weird.

The 4/4s felt so solid and nice to hold. Something about that design was just incredibly satisfying.
Was a really great phone, hell no wouldn't want to use one now - but at the time it was such a great device to use.

I think 4S is one of the greatest S model, along with 6S and 5S. the amazing design much better specs.

I used a 4s up until early 2019, on iOS 9, the switched to an iPhone 6, which I use to this day.

To be honest, the iPhone 4S looks like a mini version of an iPhone 8 if you look at it. It's just nowhere near as good 😂
