In this video, Sheila explains and demonstrates the Out of Water or Over Water Recovery Drill. This drill improves a swimmer's arm position during the out-of-water recovery phase of the freestyle stroke. Swimmers will also improve their extension during hand entry.

Thanks very helpful drill. But i notice that it is hard to lift my arm during breathing. I need more explanation on the vertical recovery.

why are you pulling you arm backwards when you want to go forwards?
