I surprised my 12 year old son with a 1969 Camaro! (He had no idea)

This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro is from Episode 2 of Vice Grip Garage. The $100 307 finally gave up, so it's time to give it a new heart, and someone new. We spent a few days engine swapping the camaro, as well as fixing a few other mechanical issues before surprising my 12 year old son.

What a great episode! The world would be a MUCH better place if everyone had parents like the two of you. God Bless you Derek and Jessica!

Derek, you have one of the most awesome channels out there today. I love how you often include your family in your work. With parents like you and Jessica, your boys are some of the luckiest kids on earth. Just imagine the stories they will be able to tell and memories they'll share when they get to be our age. Thanks so much for sharing and God bless you all!

Bentley is such a sweet sweet boy. Looks like he's absolutely in love with working with his dad. How many kids are so willing to work with o a car that is going to be given to his brother. Looks like the time spent with dad is everything to him no matter what dad is doing. Brings a tear to my eyes but a smile to my face.

I think this is maybe the best VGG episode to date. Talk about tugging on a guys heart strings, a guys windshield washers were working overtime for this one. Derek, you are an absolute treasure for your sons. If the world only had more guys and dads like you it would surely be a better place. A guy never grew up with a dad and this made me cry like a leaky thermostat housin. Thank you sincerely for sharing your story with us as well as showing us what a real dad is. Take care now, a guys gotta find the kleenex
