Oh I see You use logic x as well as pro tools too. Yo my man. That is so dope. I think what your saying is correct about the reverb. Your way Is the best practice because of shaping effects. Another option if you have reverb on main vocal track is to use the automation tool click on volume on arrangement channel window and select your reverb effect and use automation to reduce the amount of reverb or delay or any effect on the audio or instrument channeling you just want to suppress the amount of an effect at different points in time the track stems.
