Why SLIDERS Is A Cult Sci-Fi Classic. Sliders was on the right pace to be a defining show for 90s sci-fi. Unfortunately, it was hindered by tons of behind the scenes drama that made it break apart piece by piece. Despite the issues it presents in the later two seasons, the first two seasons are great science fiction with wonderful characters like Quinn Mallory, Professor Arturo, Wade Welles, and The Crying Man himself, Remi Brown! The show had the ability to be up there with Babylon 5, Quantum Leap and of course, Star Trek. It doesn't quite get there, but Sliders is an awesome show, even with how ridiculously stupid it gets.

The whole alien arc kind of jumped the shark. If it was ONE planet that had aliens, cool. But the whole “war/invasion arc” and Quinn really being from a different Earth just was weird

This show was one of my favorites in the 90s. Back then, I did t have cable, so I only saw up until season 3. I didn't like when they killed off Professor Arturo. I've been watching it again in the Roku Channel (available for free btw). I would love to see it revived/rebooted!

This is a show that's well deserving of a reboot or a revival. One doesn't have too many chefs in the kitchen. Bonus note, I managed to find where this is being replayed and I know what I'm watching this weekend.

Also big fan of "luck of the draw". I think its one of the best episodes of any show ever. Its a shame they couldnt keep up that level of creativity/entertainment.

Thanks for the review. I was in 5th grade when this show released and pretended to slide with my friends to different worlds with a remote control and watch taped together acting as a timer. If this show properly returns, I will lose my shit!

To this day the first two seasons remain some of my favourites as the concept was fantastic it's just after that when the producers were told to go in a different direction and it killed it. The Kromaggs were also seem to have went from a more technologically advanced species to just a version of Nazis that could slide it had the potential to be a great story arc but had people writing and producing it who had no clue what direction they were going from one week to the next.

Great show, despite going off the rails quite a bit in the final few seasons. I bought it for the great premise, and the first few seasons. Thanks for hosting this Nater Tot! Bring it back only if Tracy Torme is fully involved :)

That 4k upscale on the pilot scenes was pretty impressive. I´d love to see a HD Blu-ray release.
