Hey, I have an LG 42PG3000. The firmware currently installed is V3.13.1 and I have found an update BIN file titled which implies I can update to V3.23.1. When I insert the flash drive, I see nothing on display. When I switch to the Antenna input, the TV freezes and is only recoverable after mashing the MENU button on my remote. Is there any way I can even update this, do you know?

Very informative unfortunately the update on the LG page is the same as I have in my tv and I am stuck on a really early version of webOS

Great video, but I am having trouble with this. My TV had an OTA update after many years without connecting it to the internet, it installed that update but the firmware corrupted, now the display won't turn on and there is a high pitched noise coming from the speakers, is there a way to force it install a clean firmware?

what if the current firmware update corrupted while updating your tv and messed your tv up, is there anyway of reinstalling the same firmware?

Great and informative video but the problem is that LG doesn't provide firmware .bin images for the vast majority of TVs, at best they'll provide an .epk, but you can't extract a .bin from it unless you obtain the cryptographic key from your TV... which you can't do, because it's bricked and you're trying to fix it.

A little advise. If your backlight went bad flashing the firmware is not the only thing you should do. You need to request that your technician break down the voltage going to the led backlights because all the companies sent higher voltage to the led than required causing the lights to blow out eventual. Example, If the backlight is maxed at 65v, they'll send 75v which is too high. Check it and get it broken down and you will never have that issue again. I know it because i did it..

I have a similar tv but it doesnt seem to recognize the optical connection to my soundbar. The only audio option i see is the tv speakers. Do you think the tv will recognize the optinal audio connection once i upgrade the software?

Here when u open the usb it only shows you photolist and music but not videos (in any format) when i insert pendrive. So for that can i update just like you did. Will it work?

Is there any software update for LG 32LE2R led tv of 2006, to allow to receive hdmi hdcp 2 encrypted signal (from PS4 console), it seems to only accept hdcp 1.4 otherwise it blanks.
