The 2015 Mustang GT with Performance Pak (3.73 rear axle ratio) is geared for maximum performance and fun up to 135 mph.  5th gear is a 1:1 ratio whereas many other sports cars use 5th and 6th for fuel economy.

great video and insight on how the performace pack feels with the car. There aren't many videos out there yet but this I enjoyed. The 0-150 seems solid too.

Aside from the 40 hp advantage, those are stock 6.0L GTO dyno numbers and now it has 6.0L GTO IRS and weight to accompany it. If I had one I would be pretty content to stay under 150 mph anyway. I took one of my stock 5.7L GTO's to 160 before and not only did it take forever to get there, it also took about that long to slow down as the brakes on '04's only look like they're decent.

DAMN !!! This Is A Strong Rear Output Pull !!! 2003-2004 SVT Cobra didn't make these #'s bone stock ( Yes I Know They Where Choked Up From The Factory ) . Thanks For Sharing This Video Mr, Hennessey !!!

lol that shift to 6th was brutal... so much rpm drop... that car is geared great though for its stock power... no need to do above 140 and on most tracks even on the back straight you wont see those speeds... nice dyno numbers as well, though that car definitely needs tuning... that graph looks like a seismic chart even with smoothing on 5

alot of people have been knocking the new looks of this mustang, but i think it looks pretty good, like its suppose to, a modern mustang, and now it will also have the handling it needs, this might be the last good looking one aswell, i don't know how you could possible improve on its dated design anymore, and a tuned one even better!

What would be a good rpm range to cruise and not damage anything? I love hearing the engine and exhaust.

He said it took forever to get to 150. Yea with 3.73's it's not easy to get up there.

Damn, that over drive gear is extremely long. Got to 140 pretty quickly, and took just as long to make up the next 10mph. Love the new mustang tho.

Looks like the aerodynamics kicked you just as you hit the flat spot in top. I'm not sure adding bhp at that stage would be productive she needs torque to push through. Maybe a better oil cooler package so you can hold the car longer before shifting so you're higher up in the rev' range into top but with only 395/350 to play with at the slipstream of a small house that was pretty good. ;-)

For all the people complaining about 140-150: The motor makes peak power at 6500rpm but the gearing has the engine just over 4000rpm. Its a street car, not a race car. When are you ever going to go more than 140mph anyway?

My 2000 Mitsubishi eclipse (stock) RS is faster than this 2015 mustang! I but down 0-100 9s and 0-150 in 30s!



Just trolling! For stock 2015 STANG pretty koo! Although it did take forever to reach 150! Can't wait to see how it does after you guys upgrade that beast!
