Kamala Harris proposing a $25,000 tax credit for first-time homebuyers, claiming it’ll help make the American dream more accessible. Here’s the problem... If everyone suddenly has an extra $25K to throw around, what do you think happens? Prices go up by exactly that amount.

It’s basic economics. I’ve got two Gen Z kids of my own, and they’re facing this market. Even they know that just handing out money like this will only fuel inflation and make homes even more expensive. As someone deeply involved in real estate, I’m telling you, this is a disaster waiting to happen.

He's absolutely right. What makes it truly bad is that the cost will increase across the board. If a million dollar home increases by $25K, that's not a big deal. If an entry level home in a poor neighborhood increases $25K, that is a big deal. This will facilitate housing getting more expensive and staying more expensive.

It's almost exactly the same thing as the $10K for college debt forgiveness. It benefits some people at the expense of everyone else that doesn't get free stuff.
