Life in the Belgian countryside...
Albert and Paula were acquainted with it.
They were people of the old stamp, mainly known as local bakers in the Belgian village, where they baked their own bread in an authentic way and thereby provided for their lives and that of the villagers. What appeared to be a never-ending love story between the two turned out to be a paradox, when Albert draw his last breath after a fulfilled and happy golden marriage with his lady, Paula. Shortly afterward, Mrs. Paula was also taken to a nursing home, where she eventually went to her last resting place as well. Their home is now left to the fate of nature, and today we will once more bring it back to life.

Very nice explore. Great to see Ramon back! My favorite explores are when both of you are together. The old bread machine was fantastic. The hand written menu and recipe signage. Just great. These people loved baking. The huge wooden furniture pieces and wooden wardrobes throughout the house were fantastic. The Madonna and baby Jesus under glass was beautiful. Almost like an alter with the candles. Looking forward to the next adventure.

Exploring these abandoned dwellings has to be an incredible adventure. Hard to imagine these places are left to decay. 👍 Thank you for sharing 🤩

Only you two have the graciousness to help us with our imaginations. We see past the decay and like in a dream we see the beauty and love that filled that little house. 60 years of working hard together to make a life and a living. Beautiful and well made video. Lots of love from me and Blessed Be💖💖💖💖

The dried flowers. 💐It is an old Catholic tradition, guys, to have flowers blessed (usually, not always, freshly picked wildflowers) on August 15th, a feast of the Blessed Mother. These flowers were then brought home and hung, like these in this home, to dry -- as a blessing and memento for the family until they were replaced the next year. No telling if this is what these are from, but seeing as they were obviously a faithful couple, it's certainly possible.

Such a beautiful, traditional home, though! ❤ Thanks, Maureno and Remon, for another great explore!

It’s so fascinating being a voyeur into such a different life and attempting to view their life. The mind tries fitting the puzzle pieces together to form scenarios

Hello Maureno and Remon! Very cozy house full of memories. The decayed condition is really extreme for the bad condition of the roof. Thank you for your exploration and it is always nice to see both together again !. Stay safe 😷 💖 😊 🥰 👍

After you walked up those steps, that round wheel was the grind stone, it is encased in wood. My grandfather ran a mill in North Carolina & I have been to many mills here in the states. Thank you for the video, enjoyed it! (The motor/turbine turned the belts & whatever else was connected to it.)Remon, yes, that was normal for back then. When you went to get your grain ground & bought bread, that was where everyone caught up on all the news & gossip!

9:00 That machine was where they ground their grains to make flour and other meals.
I know I have just got into the video but it seems this was more like a rural and rustic :feed store":, where they not only where they sold supplies to others in the area but also the wife probably had the bakery.
You need to find a spry 60-70ish year old man to come with you and teach you what things are. Sometimes I get tickled at things you don't know what they are then I realize I learned all I did from being with my Grammar and her telling me what all the old stuff was on her farm as a child. She gave me my passion for things of old. Some things are simple but for a younger person may not be able to understand what things were... just think in 20 years you will be telling teenagers what a "land line phone" and "fryer" (electric pot to put grease in to make french fries/chips/crisps in). It is so strange when my 58 year old self looks back and sees all the things that are not used any more, it is really shocking lol like last weekend I was at a flea market where there was a typewriter for sale and a 4 year old girl kept asking "where was the monitor?" LOL I also find it eerie that maybe one day kids will be saying "what is a map?" or "why did they make coffee in that big pot that kept popping the hot water to the top on the coffee ground?" Or in 40 years kids won't know what a microwave or toaster is, I am rather freaking myself out lol
Thank you for the amazing journey <3 tal

I love how you guys do these explorations. Can't explore myself so thank you for making us viewers feel like we were right with you. I sincerely appreciate the respect you give to the former occupants of the place even though they were no longer there and how you can see beauty in the most decayed and abandoned places. Stay safe and looking forward to more of your explorations. Indeed!

Great explore guys!! Maureno and Remon deserve all their success and greoing numbers given how much excellent content comes each week. Well done 👏

That's the worst fridge and pantry I've seen!! 😝

The snow and the cosy feel of this home was lovely. It would have been a great home in its day!! The story of the couple is so heart warming and I'm sure they had a beautiful life together

Some people hang flowers upside down to dry them out. It helps them stay in shape as they dry. Then they can be used as a decoration in a vase.
